"Spirit Wheel" is a depiction of a spindle whorl that was used historically by tribal members to spin wool. This carving depicts the circle of life, with salmon swimming in one direction and within the salmon are eagles and ravens. Kevin Paul was assisted on this carving project by local craftsman, David Butts of Marblemount, Washington. It is located in the courtyard of Maple Hall, LaConner, Washington. Five feet in diameter.

In response to community requests, the Council approved underwriting a portion of the cost of purchasing a carved "Salmon Spirit Wheel" for placement near Maple Hall. Sixteen foot bird story pole of eagle, raven hawk in Western Red Cedar. City Hall, Town of LaConner. 1995. LaConner resident Jane Stephens was instrumental in this carving. A tree was mistakenly taken down in Pioneer Park. Jane successfully sought to have the tree carved into an art piece. It is a naturally aging piece just above the historic log cabin near City Hall.
