Obtaining a private commission by K Paul Carvings

Best way to commission a carving is to stop by Kevin's studio in the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community.  You can discuss your desires, wishes and vision for a piece of art.  Kevin will assist you with his knowledge and design a piece to your specifications.  Kevin sketches a design or two and upon your approval, the work begins.  Then you need patience!  One factor in cedar carvings is obtaining the right piece of cedar.  Some pieces take him years to complete and other just weeks.  The truth is, it mostly depends on the weather!  Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have a temperate climate and rainy winters.
